SWIT Kwara Chapter, led by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Oluwakemi Obakemi, was at Whitefield Hotel on Thursday, 7th September 2023, to support one of our Life Patrons, Prof. Teju Somorin, at a discussion/workshop on Domestic Tax for North-Central Geopolitical Zonal Stakeholders organised by the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning in collaboration with World Bank. Other facilitators at the event were Prof. Muritala Awodun and Dr. Bilikisu Oniyangi.
The objective of the workshop was to resolve issues surrounding domestic tax and come up with possible solutions that will be collated and presented to the Federal Government. In attendance were tax administrators – KW-IRS, KGIRS and FCTIRS. Some local government representatives, Abuja Municipal Area Council and Kuje Area Council were also present.
Also in attendance were some take holders – Kwara State Association of Marketers, Kwara.
